How Can Plastic Surgery Change Your Life?

For decades men and women have been undergoing plastic surgery in the hopes of changing something about themselves that they do not like or just can not live with normally. For some, plastic surgery is a way of breaking free from low self confidence problems. For others it is a way to overcome medical issues that developed in the womb or after accidents. For those of us who have not gone under the knife but are considering it, the question looms: How can plastic surgery change my life?

I have two friends who have undergone plastic surgery. One was born with severe birth defects. The other suffered from very low self confidence. Both women have struggle with their own separate issues for many years, and, for them, the benefits outweighed the risks and costs of having procedures performed.

For Jan, a 35 year old divorced mother of three, breast implants were a way to kick start her new life. Her ex-husband had verbally abused her and criticized her body constantly after having children. After years of therapy, she decided to go ahead with the procedure. She had Dr. Calvert do her breast augmentation. He did a great job. Jan is now mostly free from cripplingly low self-esteem. She looks and feels wonderful and has even lost 45 pounds after the procedure because she feels so much better about herself that she knows she is worth the work it takes to lose the weight. Jan will also be marrying a wonderful doctor who is great with her children this spring.

After Jan had her breast augmentation done, my other friend Carry decided to look up Dr. Calvert. Carry was born with a disease that effects bone growth. Because she did not grow normally, her appearance and bodily functions have been affected. She can not use her hands normally or even walk normally. She has been undergoing surgeries since birth and must continue to do so for the rest of her life in order to stay out of a wheel chair. Many surgeons have done work on her. Every time she has been upbeat about her surgeries, but doesn't feel that much progress is made. Dr. Calvert set up a consultation with her and discussed her needs. After multiple surgeries, Carry has made drastic changes. She not only has use of her hands more fully, but she also uses her lips with more comfort and ease. She is very satisfied with her results.

Dr. Calvert does much more than many people would assume a plastic surgeon could do. He works with patients closely to figure out exactly what their needs are. Both of my friends strongly recommend him to anyone considering having work done. To set up a consultation appointment, visit www.drcalvert.com
